Checklist

Tick what you can see safely.

Ceramic fuses or very old fuse carriers are present. There are no clearly labelled safety switches/RCDs. Circuits trip when multiple appliances run. You are planning EV charging, induction, solar or new air conditioning. Heat, buzzing, burning smell or visible damage is present.

Take clear photos of the full switchboard, the main switch area, labels, meter box location, and the appliance or circuit causing issues. Stand back enough that the electrician can see the layout.
