Generation and cable path

Use the combined inverter rating if multiple inverters share this path.

01 · Inverter current

Single-phase uses I = P / V. Three-phase uses I = P / (√3 × V). Power factor is 1 for kW ratings.

02 · Each cable segment

Rise is I × L × 2Z / 1000 for single-phase or I × L × √3Z / 1000 for three-phase, divided by parallel cables.

03 · Export limiting

Only the point-of-supply to main-switchboard segment is reduced. Downstream cables may carry full inverter output consumed on site.
